DEQ is required to notify landowners residing adjacent to any proposed new land application sites about proposed permit actions. Adjacent landowners are given a 30-day comment period in which they may provide written comments on the proposed permit actions below 33 days from the day the postcard is postmarked.

Nutri-Blend Inc., has submitted an application for the reissuance of their existing Virginia Pollution Abatement (VPA) Permit No. VPA00825 to 6,526.3 acres of agricultural and silvicultural land at 9 sites, of which 4,313.6 acres is new land application area. This meeting will provide the Department of Environmental Quality the opportunity to exchange information with the interested public on technical issues concerning the proposed permit such as site-specific information, the standard content of permits that regulate land application, and how the public can provide comment on the permit.

DEQ accepts comments by hand-delivery, e-mail, or postal mail. All comments must be in writing and be received by DEQ during the specified comment period. Submittals must include the permit number, and the name and postal address or email address of the commenter.
