The Glen Lyn Power Station is located off Route 460 adjacent to the New River in Glen Lyn, Virginia.  The station has three coal combustion residuals (CCR) surface impoundments that managed sluiced or wet CCR from the station as part of the wastewater treatment system.  The station also has a landfill that historically managed dry coal ash from the station for disposal. These units are not subject to the EPA CCR Rule, but they are subject to the requirements of the Virginia Waste Management Act.
