Most of DEQ’s programs are handled by Regional Offices. Below you will find the topics most asked about. If you don't see what you are looking for, find a Regional Office by entering an address or locality in the interactive map. Your local (city or county) government is generally the first point of contact for residential concerns, litter, zoning, public works and utilities.

DEQ's Central Office primarily handles administrative tasks. The Contact information for the most frequent administrative requests are below in the sections: Accounts Payable / Receivable, Human Resources, and Certifications & Training sections.

Contact your local health district for concerns regarding indoor air quality, asbestos, and radon. The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources manages boating, hunting, and fishing programs, and the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services manages pesticide and herbicide applications.
