Title (Project Name): Hanover County Municipal Airport—Beta Charging System
Description: The Hanover County Municipal Airport (the applicant) is seeking approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the construction of a Beta Technologies charging system southeast of Runway 16-34 in Hanover County, Virginia. The proposed project involves construction of an approximately 250-square-concrete pad that is 6-8 inches thick. The charging system would be installed on top of the concrete pad. The project area is located entirely on existing airport property, adjacent to the east aircraft apron in a previously impacted area. No demolition or tree removal is proposed as a part of this project, but minor grading would be necessary. Parish & Partners, on behalf of the applicant, submitted a federal consistency certification (FCC) to DEQ for the project. The proposed activity is subject to review for consistency with the enforceable policies of the Virginia Coastal Zone Management Program.
