The Virginia Clean Water Revolving Loan Fund (VCWRLF) provides low interest loans to local governments or holders for acquiring fee simple title, permanent conservation or open space easements that protect:

• or improve water quality and prevent the pollution of state waters.
• the natural or open-space values of the property or assure its availability for agricultural, forestal, recreational, or open-space use.

Funds for financing land acquisition can only be available in fiscal years when there is a balance remaining after the VCWRLF has satisfied all eligible loan requests from local governments for wastewater facility improvements.
