Permanent EPA identification Numbers and Subsequent Notifications

The process for issuing a permanent EPA identification number takes about seven to ten days. There are two forms of submission: (1) Preferred method is electronic submission via the RCRAInfo website (see myRCRAid information in “Submitting 8700-12 Form” section of Notification), or (2) Completed and signed paper form EPA Form 8700-12.The Certifier (submitter) identified on the electronic form will receive an automated email acknowledgment -or- (2) Paper forms can be submitted either by US Mail to one of the addresses below or by emailing a PDF (scanned) copy of the original form to Kimberlyn.Hughes@deq.virginia.govThe contact person identified on the form will receive an acknowledgment letter from DEQ (via email) indicating either the new EPA Identification Number or the changes requested in the subsequent notice.
