DATE/TIME: September 24th, 2025 at 1:00p.m.

LOCATION: 22850 Brambleton Plaza, Brambleton, VA 20148, Brambleton Library Meeting Room A

PURPOSE OF THE MEETING:  The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) will host the Second TMDL Advisory Group (TAG) meeting for the Broad Run Watershed Cleanup Study on Wednesday, September 24th. The TAG members are assisting DEQ with development of a cleanup study, also known as Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs), to address benthic impairments of the Broad Run Watershed in Loudoun and Fairfax Counties, which have been listed on Virginia’s § 303(d) list of impaired waters for failing to meet Virginia’s water quality standards due to an impaired benthic community. The TAG meeting is open to the public and any member of the public may attend and observe the proceedings. This meeting will discuss the benthic stressor analysis and its findings thus far. Information about this study can be found here: https://www.deq.virginia.gov/our-programs/water/water-quality/tmdl-development/tmdls-under-development.
