This course reviews hydrology and plan reading skills for erosion and sediment control and stormwater inspector. The course provides a basic understanding of hydrology going from a macro (or landscape) scale down to the micro (or building site) scale.  After the class, students should have a basic understanding of items such as: hydrologic cycle; contour lines and critical slopes; drainage areas; water flow on a site; erosive force and sedimentation dynamics; hydrologic design principles used in BMP design; and inspection considerations.
