Plan Reviewer for ESC (Fredericksburg)

  • Date: -  

This three-day in-person course is for individuals reviewing erosion and sediment control (ESC) plans submitted for approval to a Virginia Erosion and Sediment Control Program (VESCP) authority, Virginia Erosion and Stormwater Management Program (VESMP) authority, or an entity with standards and specifications.

 This class must be completed prior to individuals attending the SWM Plan Reviewer course.

Cost = $300

Persons enrolled in this course should possess an understanding of the principles of: hydrology, erosion and sediment control; the Virginia erosion and sediment control law and regulations; and the specifications in the ESC Handbook.

  • Virginia erosion and sediment control law and regulations
  • Fundamentals of erosion and stormwater runoff
  • ESC plan elements and the plan review process
  • Erosion and sediment control measures
  • Basics of plan review for stormwater quantity compliance

Materials: 

  • Purchase a color hard copy participant guide version 5.0 or later from Bamboo Ink or download and print your own copy from ELMS  https://vadeq.csod.com/.

  • Download and print Chapter 7 of the new Virginia Stormwater Management Handbook from ELMS  or purchase a copy from Bamboo Ink and bring it to class.
